Gayatri's Guru Prajakta Raj
Gifted with an acute sense of rhythm and grace
dedicated and professional dancer, teacher,
choreographer and artiste, Prajakta Raj has
been acclaimed by connoisseurs worldwide, with
innumerable performances in India and abroad. One
of the seniormost disciples of Late Guru Dr. Rohini Bhate
and Guru Roshan Datye, she is the founder and director
of Aarohini Kathak Dance Academy since 1992. She is
also the Director of Aarohini Art Welfare Organization, a
non-proft organisation in Pune, which works for the welfare of Indian Classical dance forms, especially Kathak. She has choreographed many creative ballets and dance pieces, where she experiments with new unconventional ideas and yet keeping the traditions alive.

Gayatri began her journey as a dancer and teacher under the able guidance of Kathak danseuse Guru Prajakta Raj since 1999. Gayatri has given on over 300 solo and group performances worldwide – from India, France, UK, Austria, and the United States.
